Market-driven production and a focus on small scale specialist crops have been a hallmark of Nick and Michelle Ward’s farming operation at Milford near Temuka.

Nick’s family have been farming in the area for four generations. He returned to the family farm in 1987, and Nick and Michelle started farming on their own account in 2000. They now farm a 224ha irrigated intensive crop and lamb fattening property at Milford, plus 230ha of dryland at Geraldine.
